Visa applications are accepted only through the Consular Section email address.

We will receive you only if you have an appointment.

You must send the following documents for applying for a tourist visa scanned to this email: konsulatde@minex.gob.gt

IMPORTANT:
– Sending your documents to this email does not mean that the visa will be approved.
– The applicant is requested to send ALL documents with the form COMPLETELY filled in.
– Please send your email with the subject “Tourist Visa” and make sure ALL documents are attached in the same email and not in separate emails.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Contact details of the applicant: Name, Surname, nationality and mobile phone number.
  2. Completed visa application form. (Download here)
  3. Copy of the main page of the valid passport, with a minimum validity of 6 months:
  4. Copy of current residence card. (Include copy of American visa if you have one)
  5. Copy of the indefinite work contract.
  6. Copy of bank income for the last three months.
  7. Copy of the last three payrolls.
  8. Flight itinerary reservation or copy of the flight ticket and round-trip flight that does not exceed the allowed period of the 90-day tourist visa.

– If you are traveling for tourist purposes: Indicate the places you intend to visit and hotel reservations.

– If you are invited by someone: An invitation letter from the person who invited you, in which you must include the DPI number and contact information, address, and phone number.

If it is a third person who will be responsible for your expenses and maintenance during the trip, you must provide a letter signed by that person identifying himself/herself and confirming that he/she will be responsible for the expenses of the trip, also a copy of the employment contract and copy of the last three payrolls of that person.

To apply for a visa, the requirements must be sent at least 15 days prior to the trip. We are not responsible for files that are send after this deadline.

Once the information has been sent, received, and verified, you will receive a message from the Consular Section stating whether you: a. need to provide additional information; b. can make an appointment (You can reserve your appointment through our webpage on the Spanish section for visa application) or c. the application has been denied.

If your application is approved, the visa procedure is personal, which means you will need to present the following documents to your appointment at the Guatemalan Embassy in Berlin:

  1. 2 passport photos.
  2. Original passport (valid for at least 6 months).
  3. Two copies of the complete file in which you must present payrolls and bank statements updated to the date of the appointment.
  4. The cost of the visa depends on the type of visa you want to apply for; you must bring the receipt of the bank transfer for the payment of the visa. The Consular Section will provide you with the account number for this money transfer.
  5. Copies of the documents requested in requirement number 9, depending on the reason for your trip to Guatemala.
